1. Who we are

Luminara Crystal is run by a sole trader ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: ladyluminara@luminarareadings.com.

2. What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, country, the reading type you choose, and the question or topic you send us.
• Confirmations: your 18+ and entertainment-only confirmation, and your request to start immediately.
• Payment: payments are processed by Stripe (or PayPal). We do not see or store your full card details; we receive confirmation of payment, amount and the email used.
• Technical data: our host, Netlify, processes IP addresses and basic request logs to deliver the site and block spam.

Your question may reveal sensitive information (for example about health, relationships or beliefs). Please only share what you are comfortable with. We use it only to prepare your reading, based on your explicit consent, which you give by submitting it.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis (UK GDPR)

• To take your order, prepare and deliver your reading, and communicate with you about it: performance of a contract.
• To keep records for tax and accounting: legal obligation.
• To prevent fraud and spam and keep the site secure: legitimate interests.
• Sensitive information in your question: explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising profiling, or send marketing emails unless you separately opt in.

4. Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run the service: Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Stripe and/or PayPal (payments), and IONOS (email delivery). Some of these providers are based in the USA; transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the UK–US Data Bridge or equivalent safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

Order and question details: 12 months after delivery, then deleted. Payment and invoice records: 6 years for UK tax purposes (or as required in the US). You can ask us to delete your question and reading sooner.

6. Cookies

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own site. Stripe may set strictly necessary cookies on its own checkout page for fraud prevention. If we add analytics in future we will ask for your consent first.

7. Your rights

UK: you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.

USA: depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Virginia), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.

8. Age

Our services are only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will delete it if we find out.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
